They said the batting was seconds, so I'll put that out there first. I, who am used to working with wool, can't imagine what firsts feels like!
This is a super silky soft batting that I spin into yarn on my drop spindle. It is beautiful and wonderful to spin - even more beautiful to knit. I made E.'s Christmas doll out of it.

I'm in the middle of doing a swap and I realized I hadn't updated the blog with any new stuff!
So, here's E.'s Christmas present -Sarah. Sarah is a beautiful muslin doll filled with clean wool batting. Her eyes are embroidered on and each strand of hair on her amazingly full head of hair is hand stitched with a tapestry needle into the muslin. Her dress is a hand designed and sewn creation of my own. Her head is about 5 inches long, bldy and legs together are about 13 inches long.
